The truth is that with our busy lives, we don’t always have time to prepare a visit to the unknown, thus letting ourselves be guided by the obvious and the convenient. But we mustn’t forget the roads less traveled of Portugal, they are just as rich…As such we invite you to join us on this 2-day tour through the unknown Alentejo!

Arraiolos: and of rugs, Arraiolos has in its monumental landscape and natural heritage, all the charm of the Alentejo region. The main attractions of the village include: Arraiolos Castle (14th Century), Arraiolos rug museum, Lóios Convent and the Misericórdia Church.
Lunch at Joaquim Arnaud’s manor (Pavia): It will be in Pavia that we will stop to recharge our batteries at Joaquim Arnaud’s house with a typical Alentejo meal and a wine tasting with its imprint.
Elvas: Only 8 kms from its neighbor Badajoz, Elvas has become the most important stronghold on the Portuguese border, and is today one of the most emblematic cities in the Alentejo region. Within it, the Fort of Graça stands out, a splendid and grandiose construction of Elvas situated on a great elevation to the north.

Accommodation – Travassos11: Located in Elvas, the Travassos Palace lives within city walls that tell stories of the defense of the Portuguese kingdom. Alter Real stud farm: As we enter the Alter Stud Farm, we enter the realm of the pure “Lusitano” horse. We’re talking about 800 hectares of a stunning landscape property fully dedicated to the nobility of the Lusitano horse.
Flor da Rosa Monastery: In 1232 King Sancho II donated the village of Crato to the Knights of Hospitallers, but it was not until 1340 that the seat of the Order was changed to Crato. Soon after, the Prior D. Alvaro Gonçalves Pereira (Father of D. Alvaro Pereira), founded the monastery.
